“Avant Card came highly recommended. We wanted to align ourselves with a strong brand and a great concept that would give us far-reaching exposure across Sydney.” Julijana Trifunovic, Manager – Campaigns and Events, Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group.
Save The Box is a gynaecological cancer awareness and fundraising campaign for the Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG). It was created to encourage people to talk about the seven types of gynaecological cancers, and raise money through donations, events and the moneybox challenge in the month of September for International Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month.
“The original idea came from an ANZGOG ‘Women of the Round Table’ meeting but the ‘Save The Box’ name, campaign and look and feel was developed by Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness, Sydney.”
“Avant Card came highly recommended. We wanted to align ourselves with a strong brand and a great concept that would give us far-reaching exposure across Sydney.”
On Wednesday 13 July 2016, 10,000 postcards were released in Sydney across cafes and bars, arts and culture venues and universities in Avant Card’s national distribution network, targeting the professional, tourism, student/youth, family and gay markets.
The Save The Box campaign was also promoted through digital and print media, a television commercial, television and radio interviews, an art installation launch in Martin Place, Sydney, and a collaboration with students at Whitehouse School of Design in Sydney and Melbourne.
The campaign resulted in 11,777 visits to the campaign website – savethebox.org.au, 20 event registrations, 285 donations, and a total of $56,136 raised.
“We were very happy with the response and felt the cards increased awareness of our campaign…We had numerous supporters informing us they saw the cards in cafes and cinemas etc. The support from Avant Card was extremely generous and the campaign wouldn’t have been as successful if we didn’t have such a fabulous partner.”
